November-December

Hey everyone! We know it's been a quiet November, mainly because we've been updating our Facebook more often than our blog. However, our November, was not as quiet as you think it was... Here's an update of what we've been up to:

1) Shawn and Stella's Wedding- 20th November 2011

20.11.2011, hottest date to get married this year. We had Shawn and Stella's Hollywood Themed Wedding. Our Hollywood Backdrop went out once again, as well as the popular white lamp posts. Let's just say, for the overall set-up, Shawn and Stella had a little touch of Universal Studious to their wedding. Their centerpieces were also out of the ordinary as well.. you guessed it! Each centerpiece had a different theme to it. Check out the photos to see what we mean :)

Shawn and Stella is a very special bride and groom to us as they chose us to handle everything for their unique march-in. Our very own in-house wedding planner, Dr.Gerard Fang single-handedly choreographed a march-in filled with fun,action and laughter.

2) Nutcracker Musical by Dance Pointe- 30th November 2011

Butterflies and Cakes provided the Musical a huge 6m tall Christmas Tree, A "Sweet" Castle Backdrop, 5 Royal Chairs, as well as 24 different sized foam snowflakes. Their musical took place in the theater of Republic Polytechnic. Photos would be up soon on our facebook! :) 

3) Marina Bay Sands Talent Time Audition (Backdrop Set-up) - 29th November 2011

Butterflies and Cakes would be handling the decor for Marina Bay Sand's Dinner and Dance 2011. (which we can't wait to show what the end result would look like!) Part of the Dinner and Dance is an Inter-department Talent Show Audition. Here's what the backdrop looks like:

Eugene Yuen and Tay Wee Lynn' s Enchanted Fairytale Wedding- 1st October 2011

This wedding has got to be one of the most challenging wedding we have ever set-up(yet). Not only was the space huge, we only had 4 crew setting up the whole thing. That's right, 4 crew. We are also blessed with some help from Eugene's brothers and sisters, Eddie from D'fairytale Inc and my sister :) But overall, looking at all the photos taken and standing there in the space with Gerard made me so proud. Not to mention, we had to deal with the heavy showers that were going on the day of the wedding. We had to set up 30 centerpieces, 2 VIP centerpieces, A Maple Tree in the middle, Blue carpeting around the whole area, a Love Well, Lamp Posts, Reception Decor, A beautiful white bridge, Wedding arch, Two Topiaries, a lovely Backdrop, etc. Over 500 pax of guests.Butterflies and Cakes has conquered yet another huge wedding. Without further or due, here are the pictures:

Singapore's Largest Garden Wedding and An Oriental Theme Wedding

Hello everyone! How did your last two weekends go? Ours was hectic. Not only did we have an Oriental Theme Wedding on the last weekend, we also had Singapore Largest Garden Wedding on the next. So, we owe you guys two updates!:D

Oriental Theme Wedding

Working together with D'Fairytale Inc, the huge Chinese House Facade went out one more time for David and Stephanie's Wedding Lunch at The Beaufort Hotel on 25th September 2011. Hmmm.. it seems that Oriental Weddings are getting more and more popular.
